I have been asked by several people not from Eden where the Farabee house is. So I took some pictures of the house itself so you would know it when you see it! The Farabee's address is 1301 Washington Street, Eden. There is plenty of parking if you get there before the group infront of you is done. Please let me know if you need further directions....
Spots are filling up fast so don't wait too long to get your setting time. I am already having issues with time changes and such that I am going to have to require a deposit to hold your appointment. If you have made your appointment with me already and not heard from me, please do call or email me for the details.
Our family went to Savannah in August to visit my brother and sister in law. I wanted to share some of the pictures from that trip. I will be updating about the Christmas shoot at the Farabee in my next post.
We were in Savannah for five days and saw so much but, I feel like there was so much more to see. I can't wait to go back perhaps when it is not so hot! We were there during the hottest week of the year! There were so many nice galleries to see that we didn't get to go to even half the ones we wanted but, we will next time!
We went to the Nature Perserve with the alligators although I mostly saw birds. The gators were hiding! We went to a cutom bike shop and saw some incrediable motorcycles. We went down to Riverfront and to a boat dock. We went to Tybee Lighthouse and lots of other places as well but, these are mostly what the pictures are of. I hope you enjoy them!
So Saturday, November 17th is your day! The Farabee is the location. I will be booking until the spots are full. If I fill up early I will add another day as well. The ladies at the Farabee are decorating early for us this year and it promises to be beautiful! I will schedule appointments 45 minutes apart all day starting at 9:30 am. Advertising will start soon so to be sure of a spot email or call now to get yours. I am excited to offer my regular customers this opportunity for Christmas cards and those so important gifts. I am offering this date at a special price of a $25 sitting fee instead of the regular $75.
If this day does not work for you or you would rather I come to you, as always I am happy to do so. This day is about as close to Christmas as we can get if you want to have time to mail Christmas cards. If you are not interested in cards we can photograph later in the year.
I have exciting news!!! I will be shooting Christmas photos for Christmas cards and gifts in November. This will mark the first annual event with more to come. More details to follow. Once everything is in place I will fill you in. I will begin taking reservations immediately! Available time slots will be limited. This will be the weekend before Thanksgiving. I have a few things up my sleeve to make this a wonderful success. You should check back soon for the details so you don't miss your chance!
Pottery is something I have always enjoyed. I would love to take the time to learn how to take the clay and mold it to make something wonderfully wimsy or practical and useful. On that note, here are photographs of the Pottery Festival in my home town. ***All photos copyrighted Katharin Crouch Photography***
So I forgot to post the Penn House pictures before the waterfall pictures, surprised? If you know me you are not! Ok, so here are pictures of the Penn House for the visitors guide. There was a wedding reception held there on 7-7-07. (By the way 7-7-07 was schduled to be the most popular day of the year to be married because of the date.) Billie and Emanual got married and allowed me to shoot some pictures along with their photographers. (This may surprise some of you but, I was turned down by another bride to shoot during her wedding at the Penn House.) Billie was the sweetest bride I have ever dealt with. She was so easy going and not at all stressed. She seemed to be exactly what you should be on your wedding day, relaxed and happy. So these are pictures from the reception some of which will not be for the visitors guide but, you get them anyway. **All photographs copyrighted Katharin Crouch Photography***
So for some fun and to finish off some shots for the visitors guide I shot this waterfall that I know of. It is such a great place hidden in plain site but, abused by so many that know of it. In some of the pictures you can see pieces of trash to the side and in the water. There is broken glass and beer cans all over the place, I even saw a pair of shorts there! Dispite all of the careless acts inflicted on it, it is a beautiful spot. The photos after the bridge are of Spray Mercantile building. Another great place to shoot! By the way, I will get back to posting some people photographs soon! I hope you enjoy them! **All photos copyrighted Katharin Crouch Photography**
Rockingham County has a wonderful farmers market! There are several types of vendors for your needs: photography, oil paintings, jewerly, vegtables, wine, woodworking, fruits, and more! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly to me! Here is some of what I saw there on Saturday. **All photos copyrighted Katharin Crouch Photography**
I am shooting several locations for the Rockingham County Visitors Guide. Among them is Autumn Creek Vineyard. These photos are of their cabin in the vines. This cabin is a nice relaxing spot to spend sometime getting away from it all. **All photos copyrighted Katharin Crouch Photography**
